By using a on-line collaboration software called Go-To-Meeting we are able to look at your screen at the same time you are. Even more we can talk to each other using VOIP ( Voice Over the Internet) Protocol ) and headphones or speakers. It's much like taking flying lessons where the instructor pilot sits in the right seat with his own controls and can take control when he wants or have the student controlling the software.
This makes it possible to show you how to perform a function you want to learn, then have you do it, to demonstrate your understanding of the procedure and your competence. This is all done under the watchful eye of the instructor while talking together and receiving coaching while your are doing the process.
It follows the time proven adult learning model that has been used for years. That is:
(1) Explain to the student how to do it
(2) Show them
(3) Have the student do it and
(4) Then have the student do it and explain it to the instructor.
